GameOn, the largest gaming culture event in the Baltics, was really crowded - it gathered over 6,000 gamers, gamedevs and gaming fans. It’s probably the first serious gaming event in Lithuania and results definitely exceed expectations!
Next to CS:GO Baltics Cup battles, video game culture conference, cosplay contest and other exciting activities for gamers, there was Game EXPO - a place where you could try the latest games from all around the world and meet TutoTOONS team, of course. But let’s start from the beginning!
Besides showcasing TutoTOONS game builder at GameOn, we were hoping to meet artists and illustrators who would be interested in working with us and joining our team (p. s. we’re still hiring in LT).
But since Halloween was on the same night, we made some special decorations for the celebration, featuring Halloween Sweet Baby Girl, jack-o’-lanterns and spooky Halloween night wallpaper. Fitted really nice next to huge TutoTOONS photo-wall, balloons and stickers!
We had a record number of team members compared to both other GameOn Expo participants and past events TutoTOONS attended. This reminds GITR’14 regional finals - we also brought the biggest support team there.
TutoTOONS booth guests were mostly kids and artists, perfect combo! Children could try our games and get as many stickers as they wanted. Artists and illustrators could discuss game building with TutoTOONS and career opportunities in our startup.
Sasha Paleeva, IT photographer at Casual Connect, was at our stand and we really appreciate the team photo she made! See her GameOn album here.
Almost famous: photographer Anton Prokopov captured the moment of Sasha taking our team photo. You can find his GameOn photos here.
If you saw a balloon at GameOn, it definitely had a TutoTOONS logo. We had balloon girls…
… and a balloon beard man. :)
But not all kids like balloons, as you may think. Many have turned into gamers in their early years and were way more excited about serious games. The massive audience went wildl watching CS:GO Baltics Cup final game!
Video game culture conference was probably the inspiring part of the event. Discussion about children and parents relationship with video games gathered a lot kids but just a few parents. Hope to see more grown ups at future gaming events. If you have gamer kids, you might want to try connecting with them through video games. It could turn out into a really awesome family time!
Cosplay contest participants have put a lot of passion, time and work into their costumes. You can watch the whole contest on Žaismo DNR YouTube channel. Deadpool and TutoTOONS developer Deividas could make a great team:
To be honest, we did not expect to see such a crowd at the venue. Well
done, GameOn team! You will probably need a much bigger space next year
to fit all gamers. :)
Thank you GameOn team, participants and everyone who visited TutoTOONS booth. See you at the future gaming events!
