Two-Day Workshop with Little Big Partnership

On March 16-17th, the whole team gathered at TutoTOONS Kaunas office to meet and learn from our special guest and mentor. Maurice Wheeler, partner at The Little Big Partnership who worked with global brands like Disney, LEGO and Nickelodeon, shared his insights on creating the best digital experience for kids. It was the most intensive TutoTOONS workshop so far: learning sessions with interactive tasks, a lot of valuable information, discussions and analysis of the newest TutoTOONS games, all in 2 days!  We learned more about kids of different ages. We asked many questions how to design and deliver the best content. Divided in teams, we put theory into practice and analysed how we can improve our games. Hard work has to pay off - we rewarded ourselves with a small party, played games at the office and wished Maurice a safe flight back home. Thank you!

Learning to Understand Kids Better

TutoTOONS aims to create games that engage kids and help them develop but sometimes we have questions what’s best for our players. Therefore, we invited Child Psychologist and Psychotherapist Rosita Pipirienė to our office and organised a learning session about children’s psychological development. We heard a lot of interesting insights about kids’ development, age stages, role playing, symbols and color therapy. We discussed how games can stimulate imagination and creativity, build better habits, help to understand rules, socialize and become a team member. Thank you, Rosita! It was very useful and we hope to meet again soon! For the first time ever, TutoTOONS team standing in one line.

Global Game Jam 2017

The world’s largest game creation event took place in 4 cities in Lithuania on January 20-22. TutoTOONS team members participated in 2 locations, Kaunas and Vilnius. This year’s theme was “waves”. Check out what they created! Kaunas team created and won (!) LT Game Jam 2017 Kaunas with WaveSurfer: Turbo Shark Escape. Congratulations! Vilnius team created a stop motion game Little Robot’s Planet, where you have to defend the planet against the waves of monsters. Ph - Mantas Puida

Innovate a Better World for Children

Happy and proud to be a part of the very first Reach for Change Lithuania conference. We had the opportunity to present TutoTOONS game builder concept to educators, psychologists, NGOs and innovators, all working on creating a better world for children. Dedicated to children’s rights, it was a very interesting and inspiring day. The hosts and speakers provoked thoughts related to social entrepreneurship innovations and practical solutions, and searched for new ways to improve the childhood. You can find more photos from the event here. We want to thank Reach for Change Lithuania team for hosting this event and inviting us to join!

TutoTOONS Goes to School!

TutoTOONS goes back to school! Every now and then we test our new games with kids. On December 5th, TutoTOONS went to Kaunas Panemunė Primary School. This time we had two upcoming games to test: Pets and Sweet Baby Girl Daycare 5. Our little testers had a lot of fun playing with virtual pets, taking care of virtual babies and cleaning up virtual environments. Little girls found some similarities to their lives and told us how they take care of their pets and tidy their rooms every day at home. We learned what kids like the most and what needs to be fixed in the games. Many thanks to Kaunas Panemunė Primary School for having us! Hope to visit you again soon :)
