Last night in Paris, in the most innovative and unusual startup competition in Europe HandsOn Startup Tour 2015, TutoTOONS was announced as one of the winners and is going to Silicon Valley for 1 week! A week ago at Fest-UP Startup Pitch Contest in Barcelona, TutoTOONS together with Signaturit have been chosen as the two most promising Barcelona startups. Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, Stockholm, Lisbon/Cascais & London - each of these European cities also selected their two best local startups. Yesterday all 16 finalist startups met in Paris with their 90 second pitches and 5 slides each to compete for a week trip to Silicon Valley. 8 winners were announced, including TutoTOONS! HandsOn Startup Pitch Contest yesterday in Barcelona went perfect - TutoTOONS won! What comes next is pitching in Paris with finalists from major European cities on November 26. Today we were super excited to hear TutoTOONS name from two very different but very engaging organizations: Barcinno, a community-driven platform sharing the stories, knowledge & events of Barcelona’s startups, and Fundamentally Children, an organization dedicated to helping children develop skills through play and providing expert advice on toys, apps, and much more topics. While Barcinno puts focus on our startup and 50M milestone, little testers from Fundamentally Children played our Fairy Sisters game and awarded it with their approved status.
